Founding Partner, Parsons Law Group
Based in Gulfport, Mississippi – Serving Clients Statewide
Attorney J. Michael Parsons brings decades of legal experience to his role as founding partner of Parsons Law Group, a Mississippi-based personal injury law firm focused on representing victims of trucking and automobile accidents. Mr. Parsons has dedicated his career to fighting for individuals and families whose lives have been profoundly impacted by serious injuries, and he has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes. Through strategic litigation and personalized legal advocacy, he has recovered over $30 million for clients hurt in catastrophic collisions, workplace accidents, and other life-altering events.
Mr. Parsons formed Parsons Law Group to bring a higher level of legal representation to injury victims across Mississippi. His practice places particular emphasis on serious motor vehicle accidents, including collisions involving 18-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and negligent drivers on Mississippi’s highways and rural roads.
Mississippi Roots and Legal Foundation
Mr. Parsons’ connection to Mississippi runs deep. Mr. Parsons’ grandparents lived in Waveland, Mississippi, on the Gulf Coast for quite a while. Additionally, Mr. Parsons earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1995, where he graduated with distinction. While in law school, he served as an editor of the Mississippi Law Journal, co-chaired the Moot Court Board, and was recognized with American Jurisprudence Awards for achieving the highest grades in Ethics, Property II, and Corrections.
It was during his time at Ole Miss that Mr. Parsons developed the values that now guide his Mississippi legal practice: an unwavering commitment to justice, a strong work ethic, and a belief that the law must serve those most in need.
Fighting for Trucking and Auto Accident Victims
Parsons Law Group focuses extensively on serious injury and wrongful death cases resulting from trucking and auto accidents, one of the most devastating and complex areas of personal injury law. Mississippi ranks among the states with the highest fatality rates in trucking collisions, and victims often face long-term disabilities, mounting medical bills, and unfair insurance tactics.
Mr. Parsons has extensive experience handling these cases from every angle. Early in his career, he defended large insurance companies and employers in liability claims, gaining a deep understanding of how insurers evaluate and often minimize claims. That insider knowledge is now used to outmaneuver those same insurers on behalf of the people they once tried to shortchange.
His case results reflect the depth of his skill:
- $1.1 million recovery for a client rear-ended by an 18-wheeler, resulting in permanent back injuries.
- $10 million settlement in a case involving multiple defendants after a catastrophic crash caused by a defective vehicle part, negligent maintenance, and driver error.
Each case is approached with careful attention to detail and a commitment to maximizing compensation for injured clients.
Personal Philosophy and Client Commitment
After spending years watching how injured workers and accident victims were often dismissed or mistreated by insurance companies, Mr. Parsons made a deliberate shift in his practice. In 2003, he founded his first firm to exclusively represent injury victims, not corporations. With the launch of Parsons Law Group, he now brings that same client-first model of practice to Mississippi, where victims of negligence can find in him a tenacious advocate and experienced trial lawyer.
Mr. Parsons is known for his personalized approach to every case. Clients of Parsons Law Group receive direct communication, transparent guidance, and a team that fights tirelessly for maximum compensation. The firm offers free consultations and handles all personal injury cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning clients pay nothing unless compensation is recovered.
